Ask HN: What are your favorite resources on information access?

Something I think a lot about is access to information[0]. I'm generally of the opinion that while we've done an excellent job aggregating and distributing human knowledge (Wikipedia, Google), that the most important thing we can do for humanity is guarantee every person complete access to the complete sum of human knowledge. This presents a couple obvious challenges - how do you guarantee every person has access to the internet (via cell phones, landline, etc.)? How do you aggregate this knowledge in one place (Wikipedia, LexisNexis, school syllabi)? How do you enable people to find what they're looking for quickly and easily (Google, DDG)? How do you allow anyone to get the same value of a bachelor's degree by studying at home, for free? I'd love to read any research or whitepapers about this field, so any resources would come highly recommended.
