Paintball was fun but can lead to scarring. I got a scar on my bicep from one, it finally faded 10 years later and another one, my 2nd time playing.

I covered up much better but got hit on the finger and received a ball-shaped scar (it also faded since then). I don't think it's common but possible if you have thin skin.

That being said, I don't think it's a great idea to increase the pressure on the gun.

Bit clunky though since you can stream music using the latest clients (HTML, xbox, ios) but must use old Zune software to purchase it.

The problem I find, on crowded flights at least, is that if you don't have checked luggage and board late, you could find yourself without a place to put your carry-on, forcing you to check it.

I've had checked luggage lost temporarily as well as having to wait an additional 30 minutes to get it off the carousel so I try to carry-on when possible.

Could it be that too many people see it as a way to get answers from homework?

I feel programming is like voting, if people aren't motivated to do it, I don't want them in the profession (or at the polls).

That's why I hate the "Get out the vote" efforts as well as "Teach people to code" movements. I'd like to see more self-motivated people that are interested in coding (not a well-paying job). I think this is what's happened to the law profession, too many lawyers that didn't want to practice law, just people who wanted a big paycheck and a couple of letters at the end of the name.

I think a lot of these new users asking dumb questions are those types of people, they shouldn't be in the profession imo.

Like boardgames (ones on boardgamegeek.com, not Monopoly)? It's a great hobby that requires interaction. It's great for ice-breaking imo. Most men need ice broken to make a connection, alcohol helps too. Some shared common thread like kids in the same school helps a lot. Joining a sports league is good too if that's your cup of tea, I've met a number of people that way. It's a good no-pressure way of interacting with your teammates.

My wife and I kid about it, but to me, emotional validation is the same as a lack of confidence. I have some unpopular beliefs, I don't need them to be validated by anyone. If I did, I would be a sheep.

Quite possibly but if that's your only experience with them as a consumer, that's your (my) impression when evaluating them.

Google might have technical advantages over their competitors, but as a developer and consumer, their name isn't exactly synonymous with customer service and when you're trusting a provider with your (critical) infrastructure, that's pretty important.

From someone's who over 40, I'm glad he was candid. It's good to hear people's perspectives, they shouldn't be afraid to share their thoughts. Maybe by him sharing his story, other people will see that he was skeptical (like they may be), and saw a benefit in the end. His silence benefits no one. Please don't censor people.

Disappointed Windows Azure isn't listed. Ignoring the anti-anything Microsoft crowd, it's a stable easy-to-use reasonably (at least competitive) priced platform.

I personally had a terrible experience with the Motorola Droid. It worked well initially but got progressively worse with each update. Crashed constantly. Every update added bloatware (CityID, Madden, etc..), very frustrating. I went running back to iOS (iPhone5) and can't be happier.

I'm personally torn. It's asymmetric warfare. They didn't care about the thousands of innocents in the towers. If we let the Taliban regroup, another 9/11 is probable and the next strike (imo) will be at least a dirty bomb and possibly nuclear so I don't think we can afford to fight cleanly. You can be righteous as you want but if Manhattan gets nuked, the economic cost to the US is incalculable.

Well the pain point is financial, it just lies with the merchant which gets a chargeback, I believe, when a fraudulent cc is used.

Then I don't think you've used VS much. Intellisense with tooltip comments, templates and code snippets. Most VS users haven't scratched the surface of its power. IntelliJ borrows a lot of the ideas from VS btw, their Resharper addon is excellent. I've also used XCode and Eclipse, they're poor men's versions of VS.
