Seriously though, there are several such sites with different target groups:

PrettySocial (ours): for young women, focus is on fashion, beauty, health etc. with lots of pretty pictures!

Kirtsy: for mothers and older women, coverage is more general

Boudica: it's a new site, the stories are a little random, but looks promising

Also, the $900K can only come from the first year's revenues. How many sites/products will make that much in the first year? Sounds like a real ripoff.

PrettySocial (http://www.prettysocial.net/) is 1367 lines of python code. Glad to see my code is relatively succinct :)

For PrettySocial, I write code, and my partner edits the content (which is targeted towards women). It's worked pretty well so far.
