Some back of the envelope calculations from fellows I work with suggested that the waste heat from a single gas turbine exhaust could supply enough H2 for 3 gas turbines - so a CC power plant with 3 gas turbines, 2 with standard HRSGs that use the exhaust gas to run a steam turbine, and the 3rd using the exhaust heat to run a methane pyrolysis process, would be the preferred configuration. Slightly less efficient, but 0 carbon emissions. The biggest issue would be running the plant at varying loads - you would need storage for excess H2 to run more efficiently.

The carbon extracted in this manner is a solid - carbon black, essentially graphite particles. It could be dumped in old coal mines and recovered - essentially burying the carbon we took out again.
A spinning generator is not outputting 10x it's rated current over any significant amount of time. You can only add so much steam or fuel to a turbine, and the rotor has a lot of inertia, but not enough to account for 10X its rated capacity for a second. The electrical switchyards would trip nearly instantaneously if it's connected plant output 10X its rated input.
I work in the power generation industry. The large scale introduction of Battery Storage is going to be a game changer for renewables since it will allow overproduction during the day to be stored for the evening peak. I think the current fad of peaking plants is somewhat overblown, as the average large scale battery storage system will not face the issues with starting reliability that can be present on large gas turbine power plants, which not only affect the grid but can be very expensive as a failed starts consumes large amounts of fuel to no effect. In the end, this will drive carbon-producing power capabilities to largely only run during the night when solar is out of service.
One thing I never see discussed about why hydrogen is so popular as a replacement for hydrocarbons: You can fairly easily generate hydrogen from natural gas via methane pyrolysis, and the carbon falls out as carbon black, a solid. The waste heat from a single gas turbine can generate enough hydrogen to power about 3 turbines of the same size, so when it's all said and done at a combined cycle plant with a steam turbine on the other 2 units, you're down about 12% on your net energy production, but it's not releasing any carbon into the atmosphere.
I run a restaurant. A regular domestics (bud, miller, coors) run about $1.10 per can/bottle if you get a single case. Busy bars ordering 10 cases at a time will be getting discounts. Unless you're going to the shittiest dive bar in town, a $3 domestic bottle is nearly 200% markup.
That's an awfully high cost for well liquor. The 'good' well liquor will be about $10 max, and the rotgut can be as low as $4 if you but a couple cases at a time.
The article has a section that talks about how the virus affects the brain and that the low oxygen level is because the virus may somehow suppress the brain stem reflex that causes gasping when oxygen levels are low.
