The really insidious thing about the censorship around gender activism is that it removes the language required to form a reasonable objection.
To take one example, when trans-identifying male Lia Thomas won a women's swimming competition earlier this year, it was a very controversial topic that was much discussed on Twitter, with the gender critical point of view being that men shouldn't be permitted to compete in women's sports, and he was essentially cheating by doing so, due to his physical advantage of being male.
However, if you referred to him as anything other than a woman, or used pronouns other than "she" or "her", this would get your tweet removed and even your account suspended, sometimes permanently. Even though it entirely undermines the argument against his participation.
