A 24gb 4090 is $2000. Not sure what other 24gb options from Nvidia there are.
Tetr.io is great — it does have ads (unless you have Adblock) but not impactful during gameplay at all and is usually the go-to for multiplayer games. Another normal Tetris game that’s more single-player oriented is jstris.
I don't think this is insider trading? Perhaps he benefits from the market flows but none of this is material non public information.
That Investopedia link is by market cap, but the quote you mentioned from the Economist is by revenue.
Interesting -- I have reservations on the breadth of OSM, but maybe that's different for hospital locations. I've looked into how representative it is for some large public companies like Target and Walmart, but I've found that consistently, less than half of all stores are actually represented; plus, with the addition of smaller out-patient locations like urgent care centers, I'm not sure how truthful this picture really is.
Yeah, Meta cut 11k people, Amazon has a hiring freeze right now, things are slower at Google hiring, not sure about Microsoft or any of the other big tech companies. Partially driven by interest rates disproportionately affecting tech, partially these companies are just missing earnings a lot and needing to cut headcount. Not sure how private companies are faring, but probably similarly getting pressure to cut headcount -- would imagine that this would start happening in other countries too (e.g., Canada sees lagging interest rates vs. U.S.)
Literally today -- about three hours ago, Amazon extended voluntary buyout offers to some employees.
