Interesting how this psychology paper showed up in the context of "making a friend." I had only known of this study as a way of creating romantic relationship, through a NYT Modern Love piece "To Fall in Love With Anyone, Do this."

The method is hardly fast though - it requires two people to set aside a good chunk of time in a quiet setting to fully experience the gradual escalation of self-disclosure. When trying out this method in real life, what about the fact that you chose that one person to try this with? The reasons behind that choice would contribute much a successful result of this method but still left unexplained.

I’m working on an open source verb conjugator for different languages, currently in Korean and Hindi. The conjugator will take in a verb and a grammar form and output the conjugated word. For example, the future form of ‘하다’(to do) should return ‘할꺼야’(will do). This API will come handy for people who are learning a new language or, if you’re like me, building a language learning app. It gives us the flexibility to create learning materials like flashcards. One major reason was that our team was growing and Gitlab allowed us to add them, whereas BitBucket was limited to 5 devs.

My team and I switched from bitbucket to gitlab a few months ago and we love the transition. Gitlab provides a lot of value to me and my team who are learning how to code while working on side projects. Although we cannot send merge requests today because of this issue, we are all cheering them on. I’m very happy that they are so transparent about their issues because my team and I are learning so much from their report and insights here on HN comments. Good luck!
