On a side note, I love his blog. Not sure if he's using a platform or not, but love the simplicity of it.

That blog page has 4 requests going: html page, one css file and two images. No tracking, no 50 javascript libraries, nothing.

Without getting political about this issue, I have a question.

I imagine the reason you're carrying is for self defence, say in the case of an active shooter for example.

Let's say you're able to take down the shooter. During the fiasco that ensures, wouldn't you be afraid of being mistaken as the active shooter by the police? It seems generally they're pretty trigger-happy..

My understanding is that the 737 does not use Fly by wire [1] and if I remember correctly it's because they wanted to piggyback on the original 737 certification. I could be wrong.
