This is something I've definitely lived by for many years. Nearly all of my colleagues and friends don't believe me when I say I'm an introvert. I purposely put the effort in to make meaningful connections with anyone I can and it has paid off more times than I could ever count. Is it exhausting? Absolutely. But in my mind, the alternative is worse. People are great. Get to know them.

I still can understand the attraction with having the same language and codebase if you need a deeper level of interactivity on the frontend. That's where Node shines.
I'm quite fond of the obsidian-gut plugin and syncing to a private Forgejo instance.
There is CodeQwen, too.
I've been using Gitea for a while now, and have had no issues. I self-host it for personal projects, and also use it at work. I would absolutely recommend it.
