I had the exact opposite experience. when I stopped eating meat I got worse. When I stopped eating vegetables I got better. I’m not saying you shouldn’t eat vegetables, I’m saying your claim isn’t as strong as you think it is and peoples gut issues are different.

On the flip side, try leading a squad of four soldiers who don’t want to be there. You can’t fire them. You can’t demote them. If you rely on authoritarianism, what happens when they say “No”. Are you going to try to get them arrested court martialed because they refused an order to pick up brass? You’ll be laughed out of command.

You have to motivate them and make them want to get the mission done. It’s far more challenging than any leadership I’ve done in the civilian world.

It's not as easy as rezoning. there is significant overhead retrofitting commercial real-estate with the plumbing needed for residential. ( as well as many other changes) It's doable but the right incentives would have to be put in place by the city. However, everything i've seen of the city is their policies are very anti landlords.

it was announced in a very political way at a time when everyone was trying to earn social points by supporting the other side. there was no mention of downranking disinformation released by the other side. i had been using ddg since probably 2017 and i switched that day.

Heroku Is Down 4 years ago

In my recent experience, heroku is still much easier to deploy. I've tried render.com a few times with a pretty basic rails 7 internal app and I haven't been able to get a successfully deploy.

I don't have the numbers to answer this but which groups are getting myocarditis also matters. If covid causes myocarditis in 1 out of 100 people in an age group prone to myocarditis, but mRNA causes myocarditis in 15 out of 1000 people in an age group that doesn't get myocarditis, then then we should be very concerned about the mRNA myocarditis and adjust our policies accordingly.

Again, I made up those numbers and I'm not saying mRNA is worse. My point is that we should take a more nuanced and honest view than "they both cause it" or even "X has a great rate; therefore Y is better"

Yes, a few of my friends and none of them are homeless. Granted the number of drinks they do consume has gone down as we've all become older.

Separately, when I was in the army, and much younger, we all consumed significantly more than 2 drinks day and were still high performers at our job.

I was frequently walking my dogs at night when they made the switch in my town. I noticed I my visibility was greatly reduced because the LED lights were less diffuse. Anything under the lights I could see just fine but a few feet away was under the vale of darkness.

I think realistically it would come down to an increase of 30%. Most of the time, only a small amount of tips show up in taxes and now that it's part of the pay, the employer will also have to pay taxes on the increase.
