Do you own products from companies that take part in illegal, corrupt, or morally questionable acts? My point is not to shame you, my point is to say what Tesla does is just not close to the behavior of traditional car companies, oil companies, or many Chinese manufacturers that make your favorite gadgets. Learning how to reliably control the damn thing on descent is certainly their greatest hurdle. Refueling in orbit being the second biggest. I expect things to go boom at least a few times before they learn to land properly. Saying people Wil go to orbit within a year is most likely not to happen.

If I were to do 3 meals a day (1500 calories is low but let's say I snack inbetween meals) and $13 per meal on average, this will cost me $39/day, $273/wk, $1092/m. Maybe that's unfair. Maybe I use this to supplement one meal a day and cook the rest. That's $364/m to supplement lunch and I'd still probably have to cook some rice to go along with that. I just checked my local Indian restaurants on Postmates in San Francisco. The highest priced one was at $14.99 but ~%90 of the other options were from $8.99-$10.99 and I pay for Postmates free delivery which is 7.99/m so pretty much negligible. The other thing is that by buying from local restaurants, I can actually make a deal with the owners if I wanted to replace all my meals for the month. Let's say the catering discount I can get is %20, which is usually what you can get on large orders ahead of time. I'm looking at $10-$2=$8 a meal or $672/m to supplement all of my meals.

Finally, I've seen your response to this point elsewhere which seems to be, but those restaurants won't provide the macro nutrient breakdown or have different options for proteins. Just in the dishes provided around my house there's chicken, lamb, tofu, cheese, beans. The only thing missing really is seitan. And if I'm ordering from the same place consistently, can't I figure out what the macros are by asking the chef for an ingredient list? One and done.

If you could reduce prices to at least meet brick and mortar restraunts then I'd consider using your service occasionally if it tastes good.

True, and this should frighten everyone. You'd be a suspected terrorist or criminal for using a VPN or tor or any foreign service that doesnt use the gov approved crypt. As long as you stayed out of the limelight and kept your head down you'd be fine. But if anyone looked into your activity, it would be easy to determine that you weren't using gov-crypt. Tldr: sort of.

Better answer: it depends on how charged your battery pack is at the time. New Tesla superchargers have been able to charge Model 3s up to 420 mph. That is if the charging continued at that rate for one hour, that battery pack would give you 420 miles of range.

But as you charge a battery, the rate at which you charge slows down. Think of it as stuffing a pillow, the more stuffing you have in your pillow, the harder you have to push to cram that stuffing in. In this case voltage is pushing electrical current into your battery. Recently, Tesla has been upgrading their charging stations to have higher voltage which means faster charging. In the attached article you'll see that they say in optimal conditions you'll be able to add 75 miles of range to your battery pack in 5 minutes.

To help optimize your battery, a software update 'warms up' your battery pack before you get to the charger as long as you put it in your vehicles map. I'm not sure what warming up means exactly or how heat would help but I'm sure someone else could explain that better than me.

So yeah, if you work less than 75 miles away, you could get a quick 5 min boost. But it would be advisable for long term health of your battery pack to charge it up to ~%80 each time. Again, I'm not the guy to explain why that is. So you'd want to plan ahead a bit.

If I'm imagining being in that situation where I'm late for work and I don't have enough juice to get there I would put the nearest supercharger in the navigation, fuel up for 5min, and then charge at work probably from a slow charger, and on my way home I'd stop at that supercharger again and top it off for 30min while I got a coffee or groceries (or browsed hacker news). And I'd try not to let that happen again because it could wear out that battery.

Sorry for the long reply but I hope this gives you a glimpse of the reality of EV ownership. I'm a prospective owner and have been doing some reading up on what to expect, if anyone has some input I would love to read it.

You can do this with Flutter. Flutter provides two packages for ui: material and Cupertino. But you an make your own package using Flutter. This is something I'm doing right now in fact.
