I think they're two different tools. Containers are great for production environments. Beside reproducibility, they also give control over resources and manage virtual devices. Things that are rather not needed during development.

Home NAS servers are already shipped with user friendly GUI. Personally I haven't used them, but I certainly would prefer it, or recommend it to tech-illitarate people instead of allowing LLM to manage the server.

Rust gets harder with codebase size, because of borrow checker. Not to mention most of the communication libraries decided to be async only, which adds another layer of complexity.
