I agree with some of the stuff in here but...

So while Apple will be successfully pushing its customers towards its Lightning port powered headphones on an established (Apple) standard with readily available products, Android OEM’s that choose follow Lenovo fight a largely uphill battle and an empty ecosystem.

This is nothing short of ridiculous. iPhone users have a bit more spending power, but android still represents a huge majority of smartphone users. There is just no chance whatsoever that headphone manufacturers don't target android. We might see a very brief lag while android sort of "switches over," but in the meantime everyone else can just use 3.5mm like they always have.

In addition to what other people have said, the G is VERY slow.

It's not about reminding people of a moral position, it's about making people feel bad about the situation they have put you in. If you serve meat to a vegetarian and they say "sorry I don't eat meat," you feel bad because you've put them in an uncomfortable position, and now you are concerned about whether they will be comfortable/have a good time. Same with drinking.

And as much as people here or anywhere may say that they either A) don't care whether I'm drinking or B) feel awkward around others who don't drink, the reality is that the culture is centred around whether you drink and how much.

I really don't think this is true. It may feel that way to you because you end up interacting a lot with the small portion of people who do care, but, for the most part, people are very indifferent to how much others are drinking.

Sometimes I go to things like this and drink, sometimes I don't drink, but because drinking is a non-issue to me I have never once been bothered by the environment. If someone asks why I'm not drinking I would just say something like "I have to be up early tomorrow," and that's it, issue resolved.

Dart is also Google sponsored and no one uses it despite the fact that it's actually a pretty great general purpose language.

Citing an example that had support from Google and failed does not refute the claim that Go would have failed if not for Google's support.

Really love the idea, we have been struggling with this issue quite a bit in my office.

For me the one killer feature that I would want is comments. The commenting feature is the main reason our team uses Google docs, despite the major issues with it as an information hub.

This is a strange comment, given that 5 of the 8 cities listed as top destinations outside of San Francisco are larger cities/metro areas.

In addition to what learc83 said, you can't really feasibly do this. Freelancers end up needing to do more work for the amount of output they provide because they have to pay spin-up costs on every project. This means that they are already disadvantaged, and when you combine that with the fact that they are not guaranteed work, dropping prices becomes pretty unsustainable. It's a big part of the reason that freelancing barely exists in most industries.
