Adam's success is a podcast success story. The patience required to slowly build up an audience by creating daily videos/postcasts that incrementally built an application or framework.

Adam had success time and again but he always builds profits and abandons. PHP without loops, test driven laravel are two other successful audiences that were built, sold to and abandon. He has seemed to move on from refactoring ui.

It has been a year+ since Tailwinds has been released. How much longer before Adam jumps to the next thing?

There was a recent story about repl hiring process where they preferred inexperienced developers. Not surprised key things were missed.

Those companies are usually listed on the nasdaq like shopify.

The whole hardware hi tech industry has moved to China. The Avro wasn't going to change this. It is not like building planes is a great business either currently.

A bootleg of a music show done in your city gets created. It get's passed on to friends who love it. Someone sells a copy to a friend of a friend.

There is profitting off from the bootleg. There is a benefit to the orginal band (new fans to buy official releases). The world is better off (think of how many bootleg Dylan recordings wouldn't exist, lost to time)

I've seen an interview with the EA guys who say they would rather you pirate their product over someone's elses.

The credit card company is the one selling your relationships and purchase habits and they know exactly who you are and can connect you to everything else important in your life.

But paying for a service connects your real world credit profile to this transaction. I feel privacy is already broken with the credit card companies selling this information.

When someone tracks you and you don't pay they will try to link your online activities and identify other activities online to tailor an ad to you.

The entire point of a contract is to have a document that can be brought to civil court.

If you and your employer don't feel you need one and can rely on ethics alone why sign?

I think the reason why companies want you sign one is because in the event of you leaving, companies can't enforce a word of mouth agreement in court.

Whatever is in your contract is what you agreed to but local laws might superseed your agreement. This doesn't make you amoral if you don't educate a company on local laws. This is solely the company's responsibility.

You get no hero points and your family is not better off. Telling a company their contract is not legal can be seen as a little rude and could give you a bad reputation.
