Not the GP, but I got a Rocketbook from my most recent workplace when I joined. Not quite a smart pen, more like smart paper - each page is grid paper with a QR code at the bottom that you scan with their app to digitise.
There are a lot more JS and Native developers compared to Flutter/Dart developers in the West. Plus fear-mongering around Google dropping development of Flutter.
Riverpod does a lot more than just state management - it also handles dependency injection and reactive caching.

This is exactly what the AGPL was made to combat against. But open source devs still choose more permissive licenses first - presumably to attract corporate clients to use their product (and because devs are suckers to large corporate interests)

What is the expected skill level of an “experienced hire” if not mid-senior? Especially from a consulting/contracting company.
I work with Accenture devs too. I can’t say i’ve heard of that policy or experienced behaviour like that, however it wouldn’t surprise me - Accenture definitely oversell the skill level of their devs, I can totally seem them pulling that sort of stunt.
OP point is that the second dev isn’t being billed as junior though and is in fact being billed as a senior, despite obviously not being one. It’s Accenture that’s making the profit here, by billing for 2 seniors but only supplying 1 (actually probably 0 as I bet the “good” dev isn’t a senior either and is closer to mid-level)
Yeah we all thought machines would automate menial labour allowing us to focus on creativity and passion. Looks like it’s the exact opposite.
Because it’s written in C# and relatively new. Unbound is written in C so should consume less resources, has been around longer and has been vetted – FreeBSD and OpenBSD replaced BIND with Unbound.
The one downside to Unbound is that there’s no GUI so it can be a bit intimidating to set up. But the docs are excellent and Unbound defaults are secure, so it’s not as hard as it seems.
Ditto, just recently set mine up this way. Will never go back to ISP or proprietary routers.
The real eye-opener is when you start redirecting DNS 53 requests to your own DNS server and block DoT/DoQ/DoH – so many devices/apps just trying to reach out to their hardcoded DNS servers for tracking/ad targeting.
9.9.9.9 from Quad9 is another great, free, pro-privacy alternative.

You could go for one of the Lite blocklists for the network wide, family friendly (non-breaking) list.
Doesn’t work for YouTube ads – they no longer load ads via DNS and instead embed them directly into the video feed. Ublock origin via the browser is the best way to block them. If you wish to use a client app, best bet is to sideload a 3rd party app like like SmartTubeNext for Android TV or YTLitePlus for iOS.

You can block HTTPS to known DoH providers. You can set up an alias in a firewall to load the list from https://public-dns.info/nameservers-all.txt. Its a bit of a cat-and-mouse game as it relies on that list being updated frequently and reliably, but its the best you're gonna get for blocking DoH.
Also make sure to block outgoing TCP and UDP 853 – this blocks DoT and DoQ too.
I’m open to one. I’m an app developer – I like building front-end consumer facing apps and am working on several at the moment. Open to bringing someone into my existing projects or working on something new if someone’s got an interesting idea.
Tried raycast but realised you can’t customise the GUI the way you can with Alfred – I have Alfred set up so it only takes up a minimal amount of space in the top corner of the screen (ala Spotlight pre-Yosemite).
Submitted feedback to the team but they were pretty dismissive about it.

Yup noticed this. Which just reinforces my belief that MacPorts is better designed than homebrew.
Used to feel this way until I discovered MacPorts. So much faster than brew and prefer it placing everything in /opt and not relying on system binaries. Now I only use homebrew to manage Casks and a few esoteric binaries (really rare).
