Also I suggest listening to NYC WBAI Radio show "The Positive Mind by Armand DeMille" for anyone reading this. - Archive available here: http://www.thepositivemind.com/tpm/radio_frame.php - Podcast Here: http://itunes.apple.com/es/podcast/positive-mind-wbai-fm-new...
Stop listening to Bob Marley. Listen to Eben Molgen. Youtube: "Eben Moglen - Freedom in The Cloud": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOEMv0S8AcA
Stop going to Starbucks. Send money to The Freedom Box Foundation. http://freedomboxfoundation.org/
Otherwise they may prove Richard Stallman correct.
As you are researching I'd check out the writing and thoughts of Norwegian Philosopher Arne Næss. He has a lot to say about different levels of rationality which are quite interesting. He began his philosophical as a hard-core rationalist with the Vienna school but later in life expanded rationality to include a larger rationality and human feeling. Also Christopher Alexander has insight here about including human feeling as an objective instead of solely subjective part of decision making.

There are some interesting/strange "startupy" type ideas on this page: http://www.cd3wd.com/ideas/index.htm
for example: "Sms classified advertising for the 3rd world and developed countries" and "Democracy Promotion - Hit-man funds for elimination of internationally-designated dictators "
