That is so absolutely false. Any game you run if you don't cap fps it uses 100% of your gpu and potentially your cpu. As soon as you cap the framerate to 60 fps it starts behaving normally.

They require a licence to drive, but the licence tests aren't as thorough as the tests to drive a motorcycle.

It's not snobbery, a cheap scooter like the one in that ad makes it much harder to kill yourself than a real motorcycle, which is why there is a different licence required.

Here, a scooter like that you can't even drive in a highway - restricting its use to a city makes it much safer.

That's partially incorrect.

The logo was checked in its entirety, not just the checksum, but the gameboy would read it twice: first to show it and then a second time to check for its integrity (and if it failed, the console halted). This meant you could display a custom logo and then return the unmodified logo to the console's firmware so it wouldn't halt.

I think the entire defense relied not on whether you could show the nintendo logo on boot but on whether you could embed it into your ROM. It's the same as Sega's TMSS https://segaretro.org/TradeMark_Security_System#Purpose
