Let's not forget that building a quality HTML 5 interface takes as much effort as building a quality native interface - and you have to specifically build it for a specific platform.

Analogy to personal development: - If you love what you do and your best isn't cutting it at your role then consider a minor pivot. The best basketball and football coaches at the professional level are usually not the best players and yet they managed to find a role that leverages their love for the game while pivoting away from their physical disadvantages.
In the end it's really only about what you have a passion for. If your passion are startups and creating something you can call your own, that's great. If your passion is sales then more power to you. It's different for everyone.
