I'm not sharing any revenue with Microsoft for my desktop apps :)
Musk can follow the laws like the rest of us
I've been working this way for years, really nice. What is main complaint?
yeah, im just adding some additional info for any impressionable future reads who may take his statement at face value :)
No one was teaching this. It was a book in a library.
I coded and compiled a vb6 program last week on windows 11.
its even more cynical than that. They aren't doing this for the greater good of preserving downtown areas, they are losing their tax breaks: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2023-02-21/tax-br...
Two things:
1. Set the example and model positive behavior. - Stop using social media. If they see you doom scrolling they are going to doom scroll. - Stop playing mmo or games that require subscriptions or have egregious monetization. -I'm sure you have other skill you can teach them that don't require an internet connection, and if you don't, you can show them how to use the internet for educational purposes instead of watching idiots on social media.
2. Monitor and correct. Your kids are going want the same apps their friends have. Monitor their usage so you can help them get the street smarts. A lot of the apps have privacy settings so you will need to get familiar with them. iOS and android both have tools to limit the amount of time they can use the app for as well.
Unfortunately this takes a lot of time and effort on your part. Try your best and good luck.
The GCP contract expired yesterday

the thing that lets us communicate like this :)
can you use remote desktop on the ipad?
Seems to me like there was a simple solution
interesting info, thanks for posting. I spent a lot of time messing with NESticle back in the day.
He thinks poverty is not buying a Tesla. Lets see him thrive in an environment where dinner is sleep.
The US left sees far right groups as evil Nazis with only destructive motives
If you march around synagogues with torches chanting "the jews will not replace us" while giving the roman salute, there is no bellyaching when people associate you with nazis. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2017/08...
I would be very surprised if said message board posters were actively encouraging each other to move to California
It happens. It's pie in the sky type of dreaming but it happens. Other states are def more targeted
I gave several very specific examples of why people should NOT move to Texas.
And I don't agree that democrats are the only ones doing this. Visit some firearms\guns message boards if you need some examples of conservatives encouraging other conservatives to move to make sure those dang demonrats dont take our guns.
1. I'm not sure my original comment was "encouraging mass migration"
2. People are free to move anywhere they like for any reason
3. If people from Connecticut can move here and change our politics, I see no problem with others moving here to change it back.
4. If corrupt politicians can rig the game in their favor, getting more legitimate voters might be the only ethical way to counteract such brazen attacks on our republic
5. This isn't the "gotcha" you think it is
what could possibly compel you to encourage people of a certain political persuasion to move to a specific region so as to topple the existing, different-than-yours, popular political persuasion
My daughters' human rights as women supersede the misogynist wishes of Texas politicians
why can't you and everyone that agrees with you politically find another state to take your political values to
I was raised to stand and fight for my rights. I don't need carpetbagging coastal elites like the Bushes telling me what texans want.
what makes you think that your perspective on how things should be should matter more than the millions of people already living there, such that your ideal worldview should replace the existing popular one in a specific state, via interstate mass migration?
Texas has more democrats than republicans. My views align with the majority. Texas republicans are so terrified of democrats winning, they made it illegal to vote straight party line on ballots.
So I feel pretty god damn good telling people about the problems in this state and how they can be fixed.
The novel doesn't start with a school shooting. It starts with a school blowing up due to a natural gas leak (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_London_School_explosion)
One of the reasons I laugh when people talk about "escaping" to TX.
We are basically burning books, controlling women's bodily autonomy, blame green energy for the failure of natural gas plants during cold snaps (and then make citizens foot the bill for the next 30 years while they made record profits).
And when a fertilizer plant exploded due to improper storage and lax regulations, the governor went on a publicity tour bragging about the lax regulations (15 people died, mostly first responders)
And this news report from 2006 is a real gem: 'Peggy Fruge told me she'd welcome blacks to her neighborhood. Then she said this:
"I don't mind being friends with them, talking and stuff like that, but as far as mingling and eating with them, all that kind of stuff, that's where I draw the line."'
We do need people to come to texas to flip it blue. Just know this is a backwards place in many ways.
People aren't being denied COVID treatment so the social policy isn't being violated. Unless getting your feelings hurt by Twitter comments is a violation of social policy?
I think the effects of housing pricing increases have been studied:

You are missing the step where the people who refuse the medical procedure are also taking up a disproportionate medical resources when they get sick. And it seems to be, at least according to the data, more prevalent with conservative ideology. Nice try though
Why does this site need https?
Ask for payment. People will tell you it's a good idea and then balk at paying even a nominal amount.
you should view the uncompressed video. very easy to see
in this case? 0
scroll down. there is an uncompressed version that is a easier to see. It had plenty of time to apply the brakes
