Wait I'm Belgian and it is basically unheard of that a company cannot answer a customer's message for a month.

If it is a small company, then the owner will answer. If it is bigger, holidays will be planned so that no interruption will occur.

Companies can close completely for a week, usually between Christmas and New Year. That's all.

This make me think of Into the Wild. Its cultural appeal may come from its resonance with those ancient cautionary tales.

That machine would be very different from my gaming PC however. I could use it exactly like a console, which is a different use case than a desktop PC.

What I find funny is that these kind of quotes are often used to mean that older generations will always criticize younger generations, no matter what. At the same time, those critics' civilizations all collapsed, sometimes catastrophically. Maybe these critics happen when a civilization ends. Maybe not.

If I remember correctly the rules for minimum inheritance, it’s actually (n-1)/n of the inheritance has to be dedicated to the children, where ‘n’ is the number of children.

Each child is entitled to 1/n of that.

If I have 5 children, I have to give them 4/5 of the inheritance. Each one will have 1/5 of that 4/5.

And in the case of a sole child, she must receive 100% of 50% of the inheritance, at least.

iPad Pro M1 5 years ago

It’s been at least 13 years that the meaning has changed. Since the introduction of the 13 inch MacBook Pro.

Well the cadre status is is the same way as the exempt. It’s easy to reach the point where you can ‘qualify’ for it, unfortunately.

I respectfully disagree. To me it is a good example of the style of the article reflecting its meaning. To me, the author says that this topic is a welcome relief in a world where every topic is conflictual and complicated. It is the only thing that currently makes the frontpage that is appeasing to the mind, because the mind can fully comprehend it. It is great because it is simple, and it is explained simply.

Your example is extremely convoluted and doesn't mean anything.

I get it. It’s hard to eat well, to sleep enough, to exercise. Taking time off is one of those things in my opinion.

European law foresees those exact cases and IIRC prohibits automated treatment of personal information that leads to decisions that affects someone’s life, if no human takes the final decision and if the specific elements for the decision cannot be explained. In my opinion this forbids black boxes.

Disclaimer: I'm not a developer. From what I read, is seems like that the web files have to be packaged in a given structure with an XML manifest, and then you need to call the SCORM API that is implemented by the LMS you're uploading the SCORM module to. You litterally just need to call LMSInitialize() at the beginnign of the presentation, and LMSFinish() at the end.

Since many e-learning creators are not graphic designers, a tool such as the one presented here could be quite helpful.

When you know the date of an event, you can locate others events that are not in a direct relationship with it. You can then situate the evolution of distant lines of events without needing to memorize too many dependency graphs.

It's an interesting idea. The funny thing is that in the event of a civilization collapse, it might be way easier to find quad cores CPUs and 8 GB RAM modules than antic pieces.
