I'm sure i'll be downvoted for this, but I think that this was solved for men many generations ago with the implementation of the a uniform, uniform.

We're not in a time in history where this is considered an acceptable solution for women, as we (species) are all about expressing individuality.

- Ability to install a custom kext to make the PACMAN Gadget work. The exploit requires access to undocumented registers on the M1 that are apparently not accessible from user space, but this is a bit unclear.

^ This is not the case, you can trigger these from userspace in valid syscalls. The same behaviour was in spectre.

I am having trouble getting a read on their intention with the aesthetics here.

HN users is not the target audience. It is not intended to be dissected and pulled apart for analysis and profit. Sometimes things are because they were.

My concern with the current setup is that I am in GMT+10 timezone. This means that some 'livestream' events are not able to be viewed due to work or life commitsments. I will keep an eye on this topic though.

CentOS is not a rolling release. CentOS stream and has effectively 'switched places' with RHEL. It will get patches first, then RHEL will inherit them.

The only visible difference I can see, is that embargoed bug fixes will hit RHEL first before CentOS stream.

This apparently is very difficult for people to understand.

Don't just do a cost analysis, do a cost/benefit analysis.

This is exactly why I have reached the conclusion that I have. The extras are not a considerable enough benefit in situations that I find myself in. Doing industrial work doesn't lead to the benefit of the extras.

It may be that those of us see this don't overvalue optional extras that have significantly less practical value than the marketing suggests.

I think you might mean bodyfat.

it has effectively no bearing on weight in the general population (non-athletes).

Cmon man, strength / muscle building -absolutely- has an effect on "weight" and "bodyfat". Even when not at the athlete level. Muscle at rest burns more calories than fat at rest, and those burned calories gotta come from somewhere.
