  SHALL WE PLAY A GAME?

alternatively, use a bookmarklet to remove floating div... name the such as '1. rm float'

then, it's only alt-B -> 1 away, in Firefox

I have exactly ARPAnet in mind when I said "Or it's just the nature of tools?" :D

I should've worded it better, good natured here means good-intention, in which there will be bad intention that we will probably NEVER see (C&D, military secret, etc...)

In this case, what's stopping the scientists and/or funder from misusing/weaponizing this implant?

p/s: guess I'm biased when it's DARPA, since it's US military complex... but hey, I'm enjoying the Internet :D

I've always thought whenever DARPA funded something sounds good, there's a catch, like "yeah, let's publish the good-natured stuff... " and in this case, "make sure the implants can be used in other part of the brain"

Or am I just delusional? Or it's just the nature of tools?

I can relate to this, tho for me it was TiddlyWiki(-legacy), and UnMHT

you can use the ESR[0] release with the extension AND disabling auto-update, and use -no-remote paramater to run multiple instance FF...

So in your case, you can have two instance, one FF running ScrapBook, the other is new-and-shiny FF... I used this setup daily with multiple FF running at my whim, didn't feel clunky

p/s: ScrapBook sounds awesome, I myself did saves PDF version of website, where it still can be indexed/searched properly

[0] https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

just using Firefox only... Set the color to always use your own colors, then change accordingly

whomever you want to take interest to, will pops up in 'Visited Link' color, the rest just normal URL

obviously works best in less-hyperlink sites like HN, wikipedia quite tolerable

YMMV :D

fascinating :D

I do have my own system on following/starring PoI in HN, using no extension at all, so I can instantly know who's comment is more useful

no banning though, since valuable nuggets on knowledge can come from anyone

previous company used it quite extensively, especially if there's a new feature the enterprise software that needs testing by the QA team

we did write the test by hand tho, very DSL-like & really targeted at non-programmer

* reads wiki, dissapointed

anyway, favorite quote

They would work side by side. Betty looked up references, took down Claude’s thoughts and, importantly, edited his written work. She offered her improvements and added historical references. As Betty put it, “Some of his early papers and even later papers are in my handwriting...and not in his, which confused people at first.” And not just his papers: Betty was a full partner in the gadgeteering, too. In fact, it was Betty—not Claude—who completed the wiring for Theseus the mouse.
