I never understood why everyone hates this. I used to order a round of shots for everyone at the bar and they all hated it.

This is a bummer and not because I am a subscriber, but because I would have been one had I known about Hacker Monthly. Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but will the issues be archived somewhere for newcomers to read?
Because regardless of privacy and rights, censoring porn at work is completely reasonable.
Whether you want to or not, it's your choice. However, the push towards DevOps as opposed to Dev is based on efficiency; it's easier to hire a developer that knows operations, instead of a developer and an operations employee. Even without DevOps, a lot of positions are Full Stack, so you need to know front and back-end development and technology. I don't think it's merely a trend, it's more or less a push towards saving money and time. If you don't want to be a full stack eng or a DevOps eng, then you're limiting yourself and you're limiting the opportunities you'll have. It sucks for those who want to limit themselves to one specific group of tasks instead of branching out, but it's just how it is.
“Why are your slides so pink? It’s very distracting.” “Stop pushing your hair behind your ear when you present. It’s very distracting.” “Your voice goes up after every sentence you say.” and comments rating my appearance.
My Technical Communications professor told me to not add flashy colors to my slides, be careful about too much distracting movement especially hand movements, speak consistently and wear clothing that doesn't distract from the material.
Either she is sexist towards men or this article is desperate. I think it might be the former, but I could be wrong.
It's been said that they were using Google's Compute Engine and there have been $500 coups given out recently.
Reading this was painful as hell. They constantly contradict themselves and it makes it quite obvious that they're acting completely spontaneously. It's also pretty clear that based on how they act in public and in interviews, that they're not smart enough to cover their tracks properly and I would put money on them getting caught soon because of it.
I guess you're unaware of independent films. 12 Years a Slave would absolutely be made, regardless of a non-blockbuster budget. There are always going to be people trying to make art or assist in doing so, without the intention of making an absurd amount of money. Why do these actors even need millions for a movie? Its an absurd amount that is more than necessary.
Except you're being scammed by Hollywood. I had numerous friends who went to school for film and went elsewhere due to finding out that the purpose behind it is to turn a profit, not to create something of worth. Every blockbuster movie contains the same boilerplate concept, the masses are too hypnotized to realize their money is being drained.
If a movie looks good, ill go to see it. That's how Hollywood makes money. Unfortunately the majority of blockbusters are trash. That's what projects like this are for.
If Satoshi disappeared for as long as he did, would he really come back for THIS? It seems like a waste of time and it's awfully risky. I don't believe Dorian is Satoshi and I don't believe that the response from "Satoshi" is Satoshi. Or perhaps Satoshi isn't as intelligent as he is made out to be and this screw up will in turn screw him, just like the other internet recluses that have fallen?
How To Become Uber Productive While Working For Yourself:
Step 1) Do work instead of reading articles like this.
Partially kidding. It was a good and inspiring article.
Do you really think that a seller would pass up the opportunity to use a service like this that would net them far more than they probably make as well as it being much safer for all parties? Of course not, it only requires some googling to figure out how to use it.
