This is exactly what i do with an older iPad. It’s running HASS. The smart switch* is turned off when charge is over 80%, and on when charge drops below 30%. It’s been like this for 4 years. No issues. And I’ve been logging every on/off cycle. Some day I’ll check to see how it’s changed over the years.
Credit card swipe away from opening an account. If I’m an engineering leader that can get started using DD by expensing it under a very low limit, I’m giving it a chance to catch on. The length, complexity and cost of some software sales cycles are insane, and a major hinderance.
I don’t have any insight into NR in particular, but the DD credit-card-swipe model is absolutely a positive for getting a wedge into an org. The eye-watering expense reality of DD comes later, after the company is hooked.

I know a pilot that has flown iPhone shipments many times for a major carrier. He's not a fan due to the potential (heh) in-flight battery issues.

Lots of good info on the site. There is a very, very, vanishingly small chance that current climate dynamics aren't caused by humans. Doubling the CO2 in the atmosphere will have consequences. It's inescapable physics.
As time goes on in a homeostatic environment, you'd expect fewer records on either end. That's not what we're seeing. The pockets of newly extreme cold weather are neither surprising nor contradictory of a warming planet. And the increasing number of record high temps and precipitation events provide still more evidence to heap onto the mountains of proof already provided by climate scientists.
The politicization of climate science comes from the deniers.
This phenomenon can be found all over the place. Follow some of the cycling hate on twitter some time. People fantasizing about literally killing people with their cars. Why? Because they lost 12 seconds on their 30 minute commute?
It's a weird disconnection. The 'targets' are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, friends... people. I just don't get it. Why are some people so lacking in empathy?
