I binge watched all four seasons in 2021; personally I felt Season 1 was the best with Season 2 doing a good job of building on it. But everything changed in Season 3, in terms of the characters, the feeling of the show, etc... And it wasn't that they had "grown" via their story arcs. They just felt - different.

It looks like some of the key writers changed halfway. This likely contributed to the change in characters, feeling, and everything that made the first two seasons so good. Jamie Pachino the executive story editor, was only there for the start. Also writers Jason Cahill, Dahvi Waller, and Jonathan Lisco only contributed to the first two seasons.

I can only imagine how the last two seasons would have felt if more of the early writers were still involved.

This is a fantastic web util; bookmarked for the future.

I wish I had this when I was making, [Dragon's Oven](https://tronster.itch.io/dragon). It was a lot of nights and weekends of tinkering with ANSI codes in Typescript. I learned a lot that surprised me, such as: most modern OS's still don't support 16m colors out of the box and that the default Linux shell doesn't support beyond 16 colors. Also no really good modern ANSI editors out there. I tried bringing back "TheDraw" in DosBOX for some art, but ended up using a mismatch of more modern utilities, false starting one of my own, and working on an image to ASCii/ANSI converter.

Maybe it's growing up in the BBS days, but something about ANSI is really charming.

I noticed that as well; surprised more aren't writing about it.

There would need to be some level of trust established with any organization handling e-mails, likely filled sensitive content. An unknown, faceless company in the Caymans doesn't instill that trust.

I've only dabbled with QR codes but they are interesting. Do you have any links that go into more detail about uppercase making them smaller?

Did it. $70k+, nights and weekends for three and half years to earn an MBA and the knowledge gained from the guided instruction was absolutely worth it.

Advice: 1. Get buy-in from your spouse (if you have one) before starting. 2. If you need an entrance exam (e.g., GMAT, GRE, etc...) consider applying for an exception from admissions. (I wrote a letter explaining how my practical work/life experience qualified and it worked.)

Loved the movie as a kid; it changed my life (even though it took me a few times of watching it to fully understand what was happening.)

The sequel, "Tron Legacy", was a fun action movie, with a great sound-track but it's computer world felt "smaller" than the 1982 original and it didn't deliver on the deeper themes.

I would still watch either one today and am hoping for a third. Until then, there's always riding light cycles at Disney World: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/07/celebrate-the...

Firaxis Games | Engineers | Baltimore, MD (some ONSITE / some Remote) | Full-Time | https://firaxis.com

I've been at Firaxis for 14 years and it's been the best tech job I've had from working in various business sectors. Firaxis drives many franchises including beloved favorites such as "XCOM", and "Sid Meier's Civilization". (Sid still works here, making games!)

If you want to "Make Life Epic!" (our motto) through video games, consider throwing your hat into the ring for one of our open positions. The studio is aiming to bring people onsite but has been open to remote work from those with a proven track record.

We're fully owned by Take-Two Interactive and the majority of our titles are published by 2K Games (also owned by Take2.)

Our Tech Stack:

I'm subscribed to his channel, as he's covered some great science topics in the past. I skipped this video based on the title - it doesn't tell me anything about the content and "feels" more like a plea for the video to be watched than some good science broken down.

I imagine that, over time, this may shift his target audience. But if a new audience is comprised of a demographic he's aiming to reach, and it gets him the views, I can't fault his decision on how he titles the videos, even if they have me skipping them.
