Gave up on making it pretty... But my tip is to read the manual so you know what you put in your config instead of just copy paste.

I love tmux, does exactly what I need it to do and doesn't try too hard to make the terminal a place with unicorns and fancy GUI magic.

I don't know, maybe I got used to it real quick. When the new (and better :P) coke zero came out people didn't shut up about it, so would be strange if they changed pepsi and almost nobody noticed. But I did have that happen with beer though, a beer I liked started tasting real bad, then I had it for the first time in 10 years or more last summer and it was good again. Think tastebuds works in mysterious ways and changes a lot more than we think.

I don't have Netflix every month anymore. The content is getting more spread out over so many of these newer streaming services. Before it was ok, Netflix was cheap enough and had most of what I watched, but no more. It's getting too pricey to keep around just out of convenience. I'm on a really tight budget so it matters.

I recently got locked out of a site because they screwed up validation. I used a gmail alias to sign up, my.mail+thesite@gmail.com, couldn't submit, couldn't trick it to submit anyway because who uses a real submit these days... I went there to cancel a subscription, decided it was easier to block them from taking the money than to contact support.

But it's not just putting a finger on the trackpad, that doesn't trigger a click. It's a really quick tap. But I'm not out to convince anyone so do your thing :)

It's not through the ears so it's different, it's not like talking with the vibrations and bass from the throat. It's a milder voice for me but it's still more like I'm hearing my voice than anything else I think.

Oh good. Think everyone here is trying themselves right now. We still have "radiactive chernobyl pigs" running around the woods here in Sweden. Meaning that in some areas that got hit by the cloud that blew in over northern europe, wild boar dig around and down to 1986 soil levels and over time accumulate caesium or whatever it is.

There is no cure. Not for me anyway. Swedish midsummer celebrations tomorrow and I just bought a bottle of Havana Club and a bunch of beers. I know what to expect and only time will help... a lot of time... Haven't been drunk since last summer, that's the only thing that truly works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But it's a choice, like not having a smartphone, the rest of us still want and can have nice things. In the cases where it's not a choice it's something else, some may need to make sure it still works. I'm not going to do it, I have no reason to.

Alright, I have ~120 browser tabs open in FF but most are hibernated. Sometimes I open a lot of tabs in another browser for... ehm... other reasons... Never a problem. And no loading of huge projects in vim. MBP 16"

About the same for me... 8 gb was often too little even 10 years ago but for what I do these days 16 is always more than enough.

I liked JRE, but even as a Spotify user, I don't listen to him anymore.

I used this long podcasts to fall asleep to but had to stop now with spotify. I cast it to a google home mini and set the volume to pretty low, so I just can hear what they say pretty much, but at a random point spotify stops it and plays an ad at volume level 9000+ and doesn't resume play. How bad isn't that? Oh and Joe is getting less likeable lately... not sure if we should blame spotify for throwing all that money on him or what...

I was lucky to see him live a couple of times. Top 3 Wailer, shared first place ofc. Bunny was cool, maybe not as cool as Peter Tosh with his M16 guitar, but still pretty cool!

Yep, for sure! It was a fun ride but I'm happy it's over, though I don't enjoy CSS the same these days. Could be age and all that, who knows.

I think we picked up a lot more of the basics back in the days because doing CSS was much less forgiving than it is now. And the whole struggle with pixel perfect between browsers just forced you to spend hours on these tiny things.

This was so good and it just got better for every episode and every season.
