New homeowners: Know where your GFCI reset switches are located.

I just had a fun time debugging why some of my outlets weren't working. Turns out there was a GFCI tripped in the garage, a few rooms down from the outlet.

Paranoia and backstabbing happens everywhere.

What happens if stack rank->pip is too obvious is that people and teams will not cooperate with newer fresh meat. They're incentivized to keep knowledge protected for their job. New people struggle to get above the pip mark and it becomes a revolving door.

I'm FT WFH, my anecdote is that every time I'm on a call, it is the father who is taking care of the kids in the background.

If we're trying to equalize traditional gender roles, how about getting more fathers home to take care of kids?

Better yet, remove gender completely and let WFH stand on it's own, which it clearly does.

Costco does this for sure, but Costco also creates their own products. For instance there are some variations of a package set that can only be bought at Costco, so you aren't getting the exact same box and items as anywhere else.

If you publish a cert for your product and require (for whatever reason) all 3rd parties validate the cert before using it, you're going to have a very bad time here. It could cost you contracts.

Now, this could be the fault digicert's customers, but suing to block revocation would be logical.

The OP is postulating they would look different but not better. Nobody has refuted the claim that if COOPs were better they would be more popular , but they are not.

Uplifting the entire global financial system to make a COOP more attractive through regulation wouldn't change this.

All companies have to do is present a united front on keeping pay low and benefits nonexistent to prevent workers from having better options. I.e. USA 2024.

Can we leave the cynical antiwork comments out? They aren't helpful. This is obviously not the case for a majority of companies and anecdotes don't help.

Everyone is for the highest pay possible until they run their own company and have to provide payroll.

Capital markets has mostly two* components : Stocks and Bonds

Investors don't need to own part of a company to buy a Bond, they just want to see good credit rating and yield.

*VC is also part of capital markets but mostly private and such a small % of global investment.

Same here, Groups + Marketplace is actually a wealth of information. There are still a few dark patterns but most manageable for a "free" platform.

OPs comments read like we're describing something the SS built (Godwin says hi).
