my original statement is 'its public knowledge that the US government is funding the Ukrainian government with its day to day expenses'. I think I've shown that. as for your douche comment, it's rather pathetic that when you get called out, you resort to calling me a douche and a 'crazy internet person'. The projection is strong I guess.

of course it means military support, you are trying to stop a government from collapsing, part of that is paying the bills (which include salaries). I don't understand why you are taking issue with that? - doesn't the US government (federal) "shutdown" when debt extensions can't be agreed upon?

"continuing to pay the salaries of civil servants, healthcare workers and teachers"

You really need to step out of whatever echo chamber you live in.

my comment was made dead for backing up the claim that US funding to the Ukrainian government pays for Ukrainian government salaries. Hardly conspiriatorial and completely what you'd expect the money to be doing if you are trying to help a country not collapse. Nonetheless, I get downvoted and flagged because I didn't google it for people. Maybe they think that all the money sent goes to buying Eee PC's so the children of Ukraine can learn to read and write good.

I just downloaded this to give it a trial and so far my exprience has been infuriating. I go to quick open a file - it takes 5 seconds to provide me a suggestion, I select my suggestion and hit enter, nothing, I double click, nothing, I hit the space bar, nothing.... Okay, let me maximise the window, I double click the window title, nothing, hmm, let me double click where the window controls are, nothing. It hardly feels 'Mac native'.

edit: after typing this out and letting it rest in the background, the quick open now actually opens a file.

If rumors are correct, the leaker has the source code also, but hasn't chosen to release that. I'm pretty sure that releasing the source code would be seen as more of a dick move than just showing a video of some dev tools. I'm pretty sure we've all `stolen` software at some stage in our lives (looking at you Adobe), are we meant to be pearl-clutching over that also?

no and no. I'm getting mighty sick of this attitude 'pls respect artists! they are all crying right now'.

how come game devs / artists are the only ones that should never have their work seen before they deem it to be 'ready', how many devs in other industries have had to push work to the public before they deem it 'ready'. I personally like having the 'curtain pulled back' so to speak, it's interesting to see the amount of work that goes into making a game / movie / whatever.

^ 100% agree, some mentally ill people just need to be in an institution, where they can either get the care and treatment they need - and hopefully be cured and become a functional member of society - or at least where the amount of harm they are able to cause to themselves (and society) can be minimised.

It's sad that Europeans have to suffer under stupid leadership choices made by their leaders.

this is phoenix liveview - it seems to allow you to render native iOS components from a phoenix liveview

such a shame to see this view being so prevalent, maybe you'll wake up one day before you end up in a cubicle with a tube of bug paste for food

Programming Fonts 4 years ago

I've been using Berkeley Mono [0] since it got released, it's a paid font which would normally be a no go for me, however the author is super responsive, and the font looks wonderful on my devices, so happy to support it.

Ligature support is coming soon also))

(in hindsight it may look weird that I'm endorsing this from a throwaway - old habits die hard I guess...)
