That is one of the reasons why desktop Linux conquest is slow. Linux people won't approve such kludges, which means broken applications and back compatibility. Nah, expedition has enough of a game in it. Parry mechanic is pretty addictive, and gameplay is kinda fun. Exploration, too, is strictly gaming aspect, not cinematic.

Both PR were tiny, not different from human PR. I still believe these were valuable additions, and obviously some maintainers think the same.

I read about Russian VPN situation from time to time, and any simple obfuscation attempts fail now. They had to invent more protocols, like TrustTunnel. Previous popular protocol was VLESS, and it used TCP.

TrustTunnel uses QUIC and possibly UDP, looks like similar to what is described in the article. So, I guess, Mullvad might work in DPI-heavy environments, but I wouldn't be as sure as author is. All I know it is becomes harder and harder to obfuscate VPN traffic in the countries with good hackers who work for the government.

I think homebrew is different in comparison to flox,mise and devenv. Later are for reproducible dev envs, former is for installing tools globally where you cannot/do not want traditional package managers or building from source.

There are many thousands of users of Linux homebrew, mostly users of atomic distros. I am one of them. I was so happy using homebrew that I've added new formula to its repo, far2l-tty

You can have multiple versions of tools installed. But overall, homebrew plays well with atomic distros. They are thing in itself, yet getting more popular lately. Im using them at home and on the server, and it feels calmer, because I can't fuck up whole system easily. Considering I'm using llms without sandbox often, this is pure gold.

Comparison of which managers?

Adding package to homebrew is straightforward, except that it has a lot of (reasonable?) requirements to make it right. Basically, you make a PR with a "formula" to their main repo from your branch. Formulas are ruby programs. LLM can do it easily, and such code is accepted if correct.

I dunno, Temu is worse. They use "lootboxes", that's something very hard to imagine in MS or Google products.

I want to test how it will handle e-bike software and hardware RE for my bike. Opus was really good for that, but still made some mistakes. With Fable, I hope I will be able to do a total RE of most components, hopefully including motor firmware to some extent.

Users think otherwise. I agree it is dystopian, but to me it is the same bucket as sex work. There are people that won't be able to get a sex partner in a "normal" way. The only way for them is sex workers.
