it seems to be more of a non-issue than the critical issue. people think they care, in reality, they don't. you walk into a mall, cameras everywhere. no problem. 1 guy points a phone at you to take a video. major issues. people are uninformed and misinformed, which is why EU websites sacrifice user experience for some arbitrary confirmation of "yes ill use cookies cause we know this website needs them". anyone that does conversion optimizations knows those "cookie consent" notices are for nothing and only serve to lower the user engagement on websites.

I love reading stuff like this. I don't use fly, don't plan to, not totally sure everything it does and will check it out. But this is some great raw data on how stressful it is after you launch.

this looks preddy cool. i was using the json datatype in mysql at the beginning of my project and we ended up yanking it out because of the way you query data within the json. it just started getting kludgey and i felt like i was trying to turn mysql into mongo, but suffering because its not.

will follow duckdb.

TBH, if they're not, all major websites should be looking to contract with you. I would maybe try hitting up the major agencies if you're looking for fulltime work, they have lots of clients and probably get requests for accessibility often. I think you could also get work just by being a prolific advocate for accessible web.

I don't get why you would regulate such a thing

The job of most government officials is to find plausible solutions to real problems, get a mob engaged and mobilized to solve it, then get the money voted into play so they can extract it via kickbacks and other indirect payments from the contractors.

They're gonna be trying to regulate anything they think is capable of justifying the racket.

Example: Youtube.com 17million dollars running for 18 months, healthcare.gov, 2 billion dollars failed on launch and not used at all.
