I too keep a lot of tabs open. I use OneTab and The Great Suspender chrome extensions to also keep memory usage under control. They've been indispensable tools for the tab hoarders like me.

From my experience this typically happens with a mediocre engineering team working on a new project/technology. Unless you have immense patience and communication skill to overcome this over time, look elsewhere. I have been in a similar situation with mostly white colleagues.

For some reason reading the post gives me a deja vu of a win32 GUI programming tutorial :)

Great discussions. Having had some startup experience myself I would add that people have drastically different levels of understanding and common sense, so they will interpret what they see and read differently. There is no shortage of books/blogs on management or leadership or product management, but things don't really change and the same mistakes are being made every single day in startups.

Nice little app, looks like gifs are indeed making a comeback. I could always do with some amusement like this in my waking hours...

I wonder though how you're going to manage scaling the collection of memes?

Most programmers aren't paid to revolutionize the world of computer science. Most programmers are code monkeys, or to put it more nicely, they're craftsmen who build things that other people pay them to create.

To say most programmers are craftsmen is a huge overstatement. Most programmers have no sense of craftsmenship.
