I make it a point to use the office bathrooms only to excrete food I ate from the work cafeteria. Personal food I ate at home I excrete in my personal bathroom.
Can Foam store the data in files in a local folder using a file sharing tool like Dropbox, SyncThing or Resilien? I don't want private notes going on Github.
I agree that git is a nightmare with a user-hostile interface. Keep backups outside of git and just bite the bullet and learn it. There is no middle-ground, you are either floundering in a storm or master of git but it's everywhere so you have to get through the learning curve. If you are using the command line I recommend 'easygit' (eg) (https://people.gnome.org/~newren/eg/) or 'gitless' (gl) as far saner interfaces that don't hide git from you but make the interface simpler and more consistent.
You shouldn't write an article telling people not to use Python if you don't really understand Python in the first place. Lists are called Lists in Python because they are just that: lists of varying and dynamic length of heterogeneous datatypes. If you want an array with a homogeneous datatype packed efficiently sequentially in memory Python also has that: a=array('i').
What a bad article. C++ shouldn't be taught either because C++-98 (1998) isn't compatible with C++-20 (2020).
Unless I'm behind the news, I think the incident people are referring to is: Triplebyte added a new feature to have a public profile highlighting your skills for your job-hunt. They didn't think it through and made the new profile public by default. Many people who were job-hunting discretely were understandably upset by this.
Try Spacemacs. Vim keybindings, logical well documented help/menus, plus emacs goodies like org-mode. It's the best of Vim and Emacs.

I used and loved Unison for years, but I found myself wanting something that just worked invisibly with no admin effort so I switched to Resilio (Bittorrent Sync). Both work for my purposes. Anyone else try both of these and have feedback?

Interesting product! I recently used a mind-mapping tool to make a web of everyone (EVERYONE) I've ever known. I started with my family, all of my jobs and all of my schools, added everyone from those places and methodically looked at each person in the list adding people I met through them. Later I added trips like vacations, conferences etc and added everyone I met there. I was a nice nostalgic trip but I was amazed how many people I genuinely liked but haven't talked to in years. The thought crossed my mind to somehow track 'last contact' dates and have something popup to remind me to get in touch with people but it seemed too daunting a task to keep it up to date. I'll take a look a Dex for this now.

I started my own company as a 'lifestyle business' not a Unicorn-moonshot. This means I make a consistent healthy profit which I get to bring home, I make my own hours so I can take a day to see my kid's play or go rock climbing with my friends. But this business will never attract VC funding or grow to a billion dollars.
I also took up rock-climbing at the age of 46, loved it and now spend as much time as I can trad-climbing up in the mountains. This keeps me healthy strong and sane.
At 24 you seem like a kid to me. The difference between our ages is larger than your age. If you're feeling an existential crisis now what the hell are you going to do when you're 50?
Relax. You're not knocking on death's-door. It's a marathon not a sprint. You have no idea what great things and big challenges are ahead of you.
Make a bucket-list and start living. I recently found my old bucket-list from my 20s and am happily surprised at how many things I've done from the list: scuba-diving, having a family, starting my own company, making a million etc.
Simple: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
