It really depends right? Some users are looking for an experience, some users are looking for a service, and most users are somewhere in the middle. But depending on your product, your users may expect different things.

For example, if you have a site for coders, having a technical but not completely clean site would be okay as long as it functions (service works as advertised). Of course these same users would probably appreciate good site design more later down the road. On the other hand, if you're making a site like amazon for the typical internet user, an organized site with clear call to actions may be best (good user experience). But later if you change stuff it might freak users out if you're not careful.

Not sure if my input really helps explain anything other than that each site is probably different (I know, I know, I'm a genius...) but I guess what I'm saying is think about how the users are using the site and why, or even better, go out and meet them to ask them.

I want to live 16 years ago

find some hobbies or things that get you excited on a daily basis in your free time?

honestly, this is so personal and subjective all you can really do is try a lot of different things

maybe you want to be comfortable, "happy", or "make a difference"

as long as you reach the point where you feel truly satisfied and truly happy with what you are doing, it probably doesn't matter what you're doing (unless you hurt others, I suppose, lol)

I don't think that the question should be so much "how to live life" or "take a risk", it should be more about how you can be satisfied about who you are, what you do, on a daily basis because you've found a place/position in this world to call your own

of course most of us will have a hard time figuring this out and actually finding where we can be happy is a constant search

I've been interested in this idea after I watched the demos on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FtJzct8UK0 They explain their business model in this somewhat long presentation at Columbia

for me personally, we'll see how the lag is

I'm not too offset by the inability to play the games if I ever quit, or even so much by the inability to play if my net goes down, because with my costs of building a new higher end computer once every 3-4 years still exceeds a $15 per month cost for such a service

sounds to me more like the editing of current partial clips or future partial clips online (mobile uploads sounds like the perfect target)

more like video editing for the average joe, rather than a full out way to post-process your files, and small short shots like what you would typically see on FB would be perfect for this

I wonder what the actual stats are for the number of clips people have on youtube that are these types of small clips for friends, family, and fun? because, yea, for the top seen videos this would be not so useful as those are mostly post-processed (but I guess quick editing would be nice, like annotations being very simple and heavily used despite post-processing options)

also wonder if you could clip together multiple clips to get beyond the 10 min. time limit... but the system probably already accounts for that...

another last thought, I wonder what cool things people could possibly do with this for fun. youtube is known for innovative content, so it might be interesting. also, what about the possibility of different people uploading to youtube to form a single combined clip w/ different shots w/o the need to send it all to one computer for editing?
