We use golang, typescript (node.js & react/nextjs) and python, but we are considering candidates with other stack experiences, no crypto/web3 experience required.

Interesting to see no one mentioned https://sandstorm.io/ yet, to really get to the small web, we would not only need each user to "serve their own site" but also buy in to self hosting other services, google docs, trello etc

Getting this right at scale is super difficult for many reasons, but the biggest one I can think of is "ease of use" for the general user, and not building things only developers or "tech savvy" users can use.

In short, implement a free market system! Elaboration, let the students choose teachers, and based on the data you get from that, pay the teachers, and have this data out in the open, so teachers can see what influences their remuneration.

Kudos to author for including sandstorm.io and docker in his pros and cons. I can see it becoming one of the first things we might wonder about in the future.

I would say a lot of the discussion should rather be around the current structures and ideas we have formed, and which of them should be challenged. The idea of "countries", "states", "borders", "presidents", are all worth challenging, because not only do borders restrain our "freedom of movement", all of the above mentioned do that in some degree or another. That being said, I don't propose anarchism, just alternatives, something like Seasteading might just have some of the answers. Re-integrating successful seasteading ventures back onto landmass would be great, but certainly a more long term procedure. Change is difficult though, seasteading should not even be necessary for us to consider a different world, but leading by example will probably be what the world needs.

Doubt anything will change in ember to accommodate any specific transpiler , or (transcompiler) if you would. Do have a look at https://code.visualstudio.com/, ember is used in that first example, so using specific tools for better integration will be a better option at this stage.
