apart from drone noises which some will most likely comment on, i can imagine something like this technology being used to record foot ball players on the field just for that added dimension of interaction with the game. it'll probably be awhile but some tech school/university will probably do it for their promo videos or some other type of organization may start using it to record their sports training efforts.

well the only way some people learn something is to ask questions which in turn makes it easier for others to use something which increases the community. but i guess if someone is expecting someone to answer their question right away then they may be too entitled. but realistically speaking helping others increases community. you may get a few "slackers" who don't contribute but not everyone who ask questions is a 1 time charly... some actually end up contributing once they understand the code, i've been this person.

one of my accounts got locked for adding react and javascript groups too quickly, i was adding them so i could learn them better but facebook decided i was a bot or something. i don't have access to the number that i registered with that account so it's a grave yard account now

why is chrome having so many updates within the past few months? is it because of coverage? (more users?). i use chrome off and on between that and firefox depending on the site and i am surprised how often i've been reading about issues with chrome.

while this may be true, it does not necessarily reflect that it is right. often times throughout history shame has been used to control minority groups and people who are less privileged.

which sadly means that popular consensus may not always have the best interest in mind. oftentimes the masses overreact and get it terribly wrong if there is awareness outside of pure groupthink

i am surprised .ru is not temporarily blocked. email providers could refuse to allow .ru addresses and that would affect those who are not complete computer savvy, for the record i have no issues with the russian people who are anti-war but, i think the message has to get across that the path that is currently going with regards to ukraine is a dead end.

we had a somewhat harmful issue in 1979 near my hometown. a lot of people who lived near the site swear they have issues with cancers. i wonder if a counterfeit part was to blame back then, not sure but still interesting to think about any weaknesses with any serious technologies. that way technology is safe enough for everyone to enjoy.

we are behind in a lot of areas, i am starting to wonder if it's because of our barrier to entry (college fees). i've also been told that we don't teach math in the most intuitive way in k-12. a lot of professors say they have to reteach math to students. many colleges and universities have dropped asking for testing scores from high school realizing they will have to reteach them anyways, kind of interesting to see but kinda sad that we have let our education system slip this far

this is great, i was thinking about making a history chain where historians can help seed and propagate content, complete with an profile for each user and their stats, a breakdown of how their stats came to be.

kind of like a baseball card for each historian where people can explore who vouched for who.

there can even be forks where people disagree on what happened, that way the user can follow the evidence, refute it or comment on it for other users to see, kind of like how wikipedia does it but for comments.

that way we can make history more persistent than current archive methods.

but anyways, great work! always good to see educational projects being built, my parents bought a pc for the family, we were homeschooled and a lot of my education (outside of textbooks) came from cd/floppy disk encyclopedias and other educational software

honestly, i just recently found out my niece is taking seizure medicine that has a black box label, cannabis has been shown to help people who has seizures without all those risk associated with black label seizure medicine. i would prefer cannabis to be legal in her state because high cbd strains are still beneficial to a lot of people suffering.

yeah it actually kind of made sense to me having the jobs right there. i haven't applied using the job portal yet but it was definitely something i was hopeful about. i recently got back into coding because of the pandemic and started to make some progress, been on a few interviews and hoping to find a company that appreciates what i bring to the table. so maybe i will try a few openings before they sunset and write a proper blog about the experience. regardless, stackoverflow having a job board makes sense to me.

it would be interesting to use it as a way to pump water and desalinated it, then use that clean water to reforest the dessert by making swells in the soil that collect the water. but don't know the area, the ocean might be pretty far away

i love working with flutter and dart. really hoping the job market opens up more for those. one major annoyance for me is having to create a class to handle the data from a json.

i would love to see dot notation access to keys like how javascript handles json, it turns it automatically into an object after using .json()

Good lord that is awful you had to go through someones ego wet dream. I've seen many firms belittle a candidate who was otherwise extremely talented outside of a firms quest to seem intelligent. A lot of firms seem to have this tech bro problem. But the world is waking up to the unreasonableness that the industry is practicing.

i was looking at the grip as well. i wonder why they didn't choose something more like an inflated or some type of adjustable box to pick up the objects. what i would do is make the arm a detachable accessory and give people different grip options using something like a quick connect. that way factories can swap out the arm for something more fitting to their use case. at some point robots will have to have some hookup standards so other companies can jump in and build upon others progress.

i am agreeing with you and parent comment, there is definitely room for growth in how these journals are presented. i think having access to the full discussion would be an amazing step forward for the science community as well as those who are interested in grasping a deeper understanding of how and why the discussion decided to go with their findings

i care, there is an old saying, absolute power, corrupts absolutely. it is almost never a good sign when power is centralized among a few actors.

online, offline just in general. democratic societies formed knowing this, but there is a will to power among certain people who will at any cost affordable to them will try and become the center focus of attention.

you see this in mega corporations eating up smaller companies in order to centralized power and indirectly control the market.

in the same way, actors use money to pump into traditional and social media in order to influence the masses or part of the masses to sway towards their agenda. which may or may not benefit society.

media is very powerful especially if the transmission is consistent in messaging, and broad as well. meaning coming from many angles to achieve said goal or agenda.

it can be very intoxicating once the scale tips towards the agenda, then social pressure or peer pressure to fit in takes control. it's a very odd thing to observe herd mentality from an outside perspective and almost instantly hammered down and framed as a negative thing to those who are entrenched within conditioning.

i believe transparency is the only way we can subvert mental coups, if we know who is funding what then we can consciously ask why and then maybe, just maybe we will become enlightened of an atrocity before it is too late.

there is an app where you can scan beauty products and it will tell you what is in them, it gives you warnings about dangerous chemicals in certain products. it's called think dirty. there is another app for food that does the same thing called yuka.

i wonder if there is an app where it will tell you the origin of a product or a rating on the company based on ethics. like ethically sourced rating or something along those lines.

the crazy thing is that most people meet online these days and since tinder and hinge are owned by the same media umbrella company and are the most popular dating apps, if you get banned from both its like your are nearly banned from the dating pool. stay with me, while i realize this sounds ridiculous, things have drastically changed in the dating world. especially with covid-19 adding that extra layer of caution making "cold approaches" nearly obsolete

that is very cool, i didnt know there was a word for it. i remember when i was a boy i would take apart random electronics that my dad gave to me. it was so fun, i tell you what, if someone created a store like how they have make and paint your own pottery stores but for taking apart, rebuilding, or freshly assembling electronics like my dad coached me with, i think it would be very popular and also help peak interest in electronics. kinda like build a bear but build a bot/radio/computer/basic tv or whatever

you would not like it here. we still have a 5-10 person limit at many stores. basically tons of places look like people are waiting in line for a rock concert. as much as i love the mountains and the coffee i am thinking about moving to a less over the top state.
