The system won't change until there is massive chaos and destruction. Why would it otherwise? The people with the means to gently and voluntarily change things are living like gods. They have no incentive to help. In fact, a sick and unhealthy society keeps competitors weak. No, I'm afraid to say there will be no fixing things.

The only correction will be anyone not in the concentrated wealth part being left out to rot. There is no upside for pretty much anyone posting on hacker news

there was a recent case of a lady who spent at least a month in jail because an ai said it was her. She had physical evidence indicating she wasn't and hadn't been to the state at all during the crime. There was a human in that loop too and she still sat in jail and had her life ruined.

What would you want for user friendly? Anything powerful will have a learning curve, that is a fact. The basics of blender usage, i.e. the mechanical aspects of the modeling components minus geonodes, are learned in an afternoon.

Everything else is an understanding of what you, the user, wants. Translating what you want into thing you see on the computer is something that can't be learned quickly.

I excluded geonodes because geonodes are best thought of as just a (simple?) programming language with all the faults and foibles of a programming language.

What are the other competing browsers? There's chrome(and the derivatives), safari, firefox? safari exists only because of ios lockin. Aren't most other browsers an increasingly smaller share? Genuine question.

I don't think volunteering is going to cut it. Big orgs have big money and public commons are just targets to be controlled exploited.

I'm currently in that spiral. It is not pleasant knowing every month makes it harder to get back in
