Bagna Cauda! I went down the rabbit hole a few winters back trying to perfect that dip and it was awesome. Never "perfected" of course, but I got close enough to really enjoy the recipe. Paired well with the simple dish of olive oil packed tuna, spaghetti, heavy butter and some added capers. So good and very easy to whip up.

Absolutely. As s teen in the 80s I was shocked the USSR collapsed as everything around me made them out to be this huge Russian bear that could kill us at any moment. Granted I was in the Midwest then away from 24h news cycle, and much closer to missile silos and military bases so perhaps that made a difference.

Yeah the 6d was crazy to get used to. I sometimes wonder if that's why I had pretty good VR legs from the get go with the OG vive.

I was wondering, as I use EyeSight on my Outback and it seems to detect plenty of stationary and odd shaped objects (like an old, empty flatbed semi with broken tail lights) which I didn't expect it to.

As a slow walker I respectfully disagree on the energy to slow down vs speed up! Concentration may be equal however. I get absolutely exhausted keeping up with you fast walkers. :)

Whenever I have to learn a new OS, system, tool, programming language, etc: if I have trouble with it, I just write up a training manual as if I were also tasked with teaching others. What I end up with is a customized courseware for just me that I can refer back to at any time. Time consuming, but very effective for me.

I find lots of players in Overwatch are surprised to find I'm 46 with an above average SR whenever it comes up. Though I typically don't snipe, I seem to still have some twitch reflexes left!

re: Art in emerging tech. Though "VR" has arguably been emerging for many years, I do occasionally see glimmers of what we once saw in the past when I load up random apps for the HTC Vive. That community still feels like it produces some very artistic work from time to time.

I hear ya. But how much $$ have they made from us to keep the servers running? Sometimes it feels like my data could vanish at any time... I've started looking into ownCloud and the like lately as I'm just getting tired of offloading critical storage to something that may prove transient.
