We should never forget that Equifax first tried to charge consumers for a freeze until consumers complained so loudly that they were forced to give it for free. They clearly have no respect for their consumers and show/flaunt it. Legislators have failed to deal with this issue in a modern way. We need to assume that every American is compromised and freeze accounts by default.
In my experience the left was not capable of having reasoned debate even before the election. They prefer to shut it down.
Though I'm not blind I would imagine it is like speedreading. Occasionally skipping words has no effect to the main idea of a sentence because the mind fills in the blanks. Anyway disability related tech news is very cool stuff and I hope to see a lot more on HN.

The notion of "good" or "bad" all depends on what you value. If you value the economy above all then this is good for companies outside the US, bad for companies inside the US. If you value jobs for your own citizens over money then opposite is true: better job opportunities for locals, bad news for corporations (at least in the short term).

Seems like a more socially acceptable form of Eugenics since society seems to value advanced science more than it does traditional mate selection based on desired physical traits.

I know someone who went to NYU who now makes $15/hr and is $90k in debt because they majored in media studies. I am not trying to make fun of them as I love them but they believed and still legitimately believe the lie that going to an Ivy League should have been enough for them to live comfortably. Problem is that doesn't matter when your thesis is literally based on playing Second Life. Not that there's no value in her thesis but the reality is people are not hiring for that.
