Even if / when it does work, the value being produced is reduced to the dollars paid to Anthropic or OpenAI or whoever. What are you even contributing? What’s stopping the ai provider from coming in and eating your lunch?
There is a miscommunication happening, this entire time we all had surprisingly different ideas about what quality of work is acceptable which seems to account for differences of opinion on this stuff.
I tried out Claude code for the first time today, and I was a little bit disappointed after all the comments I’ve been reading about it. I didn’t so much notice a speed difference as I did just not having to think very hard while I was working compared to writing everything myself.
Perhaps I’m too opinionated / a micromanager.
