I'm an ancient software developer time traveller. Working as a remote contactor building apps that use AI to do stuff, also a game developer.

Go Go DUck Maaan.

Even if the backend is bing, they have somehow made it work. It's is a weird bonus for Microsoft.... If they don't try to copy google they can finally get some search market share!

LOL.

Hopefully this will inspire new teams to create indexed based search alternatives that are free and not enshitified, like google used to be in the early 2010s.

Too bad they are not including the script writing, some people pass on the visual but you can tell in 10 seconds or less it was written by AI - or an AI voice that is reading AI written slop.

I would not mind either one if it was quality. But it's NOT this, it's sloppy that!

barf but it at least opens up the playing field for new startups that want to provide good old index search and try to beat them where they left off when search still worked 8 years ago before they hired the yahoo POS execs that enshitified the service.

And even this fact is irrelevant since this is a developer branch experiment and people are only guessing and making assumptions. It's more my language is beader bravado bullshit.

It is closed source because they think people want to buy this? Isn't this just built in to Firefox and Chrome now? I mean chrome already lets you preview API calls with pretty print.

I'm confused why this extension still exists I guess, and definitely too spooked out to even bother looking.

So absolutely tasteless it should be banned. I think it's fine if people want to generate music at home like this but also, isn't it questionable what is even copyrightable? Apple makes you pay for this?

oh man, I just am so bummed that around 2007 I ditched my 20 year collection of CDs and went digital whaaaaa!
