You are right, 'A' stands for Architecture. _Instruction Set_ Architecture that is. Not CPU architecture. I should have been more clear:

RV32I doesn't define any architecture, it's just an ISA i.e. a software contract that happens to be implementable in hardware. The CPU could run on outer space goop and still be RV32I.
Alpha was great but that wasn't enough against the convenience of just running an x86 box. It didn't find a niche quickly enough. ARM survived because they were low power. POWER survived because IBM is one big niche. MIPS died and reincarnated into RISC-V. I have no idea where Alpha would have gone had it not been dropped.
I used a Docker image. Good enough as is for LAN usage. I assume it could be exposed online with a Cloudflare tunnel but I wouldnt trust it to not be hacked. Docker may also make it harder to customize (install mods).

Except that ARM is pretty much theirs, or at least they have complete control over it, which they never did for any previous arch. They also handle chip production directly. Nothing in RISC-V could be worth more than what they can already wring out of ARM without having to migrate.

It's still regular CPU memory, based on DDR. It's 256 bits wide but it's not GDDR. Unified just means that the CPU and GPU use the same physical memory bank. It does not make memory magically faster.
What vendor? OpenJDK is free and libre. If you mean Oracle, then that's a choice your employer made and yeah, you're SoL, especially for working in such a place.
