I cant pack wet mud into a tube and run it in the attic and it stay wet. Same with bananas unfortunatly as that would give banana plugs a lot more meaning.
Sometimes you just gotta get the frustration out in a gist
The DMA is in fact cementing their duopoly power, the opposite of the objective of the law.
Power centralization is a key component of control and we live in times of unprecedented control being exerted on citizens.
What size of apartment does an hdd noise become an issue in?
In case anyone else lives under a rock like me, this is only metaphorically linked to swine. Filed under TIL.

Renaming my robots.txt to reeeebots.txt and writing a justification line by line on why XYZ shouldn't be archived is now on my todo. Along with adding a tarpit.
Where do I pay to read security research writeups with only cats used in explainer images and examples? This exploit is cute.

Having worked in HR as the only tech role in the past, HRIS, I can say w/o doubt this is a low value add move to the tech dept. However the free food stream from temp and external agencies to HR is legit insane and the quality top notch so hopefully they can share with the tech dept
Also just to say it if you don't know it, HR is the biggest "rules for thee, not for me" group in your org. Everything bad you have ever imagined, it's worse.
Ive been using the ollama nextcloud integration for a while and while rough at times it does work to control many devices. Lights and music. Very nontrivial to get it working consistantly however so maybe this could work. Not going to connect it to cloud claude however.
Also for the author in case they read this, the central/decentral hub architecture writing in privacy section is overly complex. Simplify it as "locally hosted, not cloud connected"
Not to be that yt'r that shills my videos all over, but you did ask for a low powered desktop build and this $350 one I put together is still my favorite. The 3060 12GB with llama 3.2 vision 11b is a very fun box that is low idle power (intel rules) to leave on 24/7 and have it run some additional services like HA.
I put together a $350 build with a 3060 12GB and its still my favorite build. I run llama 3.2 11b q4 on it and its a really efficient way to get started and the tps is great.
The system idles at 60w and running hits 260w.
Hi HN, Garage youtuber here. Wanted to add in some stats on the wattages/ram.
Idle wattage: 60w (well below what I expected, this is w/o GPUs plugged in)
Loaded wattage: 260w
RAM Speed I am running currently: 2400 (V likely 3200 has a decent perf impact)
