It is strange people don't understand this.

The only thing that changes in time is the medium.

100 years ago, young people wanted to be painters.

50 years ago, young people wanted to form a rock band.

2024, young people want to be tiktok stars.

Some are more delusional than others about it but that never changes either.

The best brain exercise I have found is trying to learn another language with anki.

As an old man, it is so hard it feels like a form of brain powerlifting.

I really wish I had anki when I was younger. 30 minutes a day of cards on a tough subject and 30 minutes a day of cardio is probably something everyone should do for life.

It is because I am lottery winner that was lucky enough to have been born in a time and place that going to war was never a serious consideration as a young man, unlike almost every other young man of the past. The closest I had to get was watching my country blow things up on CNN.

A person in this situation can't help but to have a ridiculous, unrealistic perspective on war.

It is not just the corporations though. This is what this paranoid, puritanical society we live in wants.

What is more ridiculous than filtering out nudity in art?

It reminds me of taking my 12 year old niece to a major art gallery for the first time. Her main question was why is everyone naked?

It is equal to filtering out heartbreak from music because it is a negative emotion and you must be kept "safe" from negativity for mental health reasons.

The crowd does get what they want in this system though. While I agree with you, we are quite in the minority I am afraid.
