From what I understand the USB type hardware isn't profitable.

You could see much better financial gains buying coins and hoping for the best or investing is something else.

I think this is really a shame.

With things at apple going this direction it seems that they don't want to make technology as long lived as it could be. I know people don't buy new products with the long run in mind in many cases, leaving folks with little alternative to a full upgrade after the warranty has expired and something goes wrong.

I myself have always enjoyed getting every last drop of life out of my computers. There is some joy in getting usefulness out of technology ten years out of date.

Ouya's KickStarter feels less like you are "backing it" to make it happen than it does advertizing to potential investors. The video is what I would call more than a little vague and uncertain of itself. Are you backing what "could be" or what WILL be?

They have raised over 11 dollars per second since lunching the kickstarter.

I can't imagine a game studio that deserves it more than Double fine, they are going to make the best adventure game ever made.

I find it funny that people of reddit try and keep the "youtube" community out, and hackernews wants to keep reddit out... Who wants to keep HN out??
