It's not, you can do that under the video settings if you hover over the camera icon on the calling screen, or there's a device settings buried under the overflow menu as well. Haven't used Teams in a while, but I doubt it changed now.

I doubt it's political, Czech was included in the extension but is not available now that it's integrated into the browser. I guess more languages will come later.
As said in other comments this is just for the Push To Talk support. It’s not mandatory in any way and users can just deny the permission and go on using the app (as long as they don’t need PTT, of course). So this is just yet another uninformed tweet that brings absolutely no information or anything useful.
But they do mention that you can disable it at anytime, only that for the telemetry that is sent with the installer you have to set the flag beforehand (obviously):
The .NET SDK telemetry feature is enabled by default. To opt out of the telemetry feature, set the DOTNET_CLI_TELEMETRY_OPTOUT environment variable to 1 or true.
A single telemetry entry is also sent by the .NET SDK installer when a successful installation happens. To opt out, set the DOTNET_CLI_TELEMETRY_OPTOUT environment variable before you install the .NET SDK.

This is cool! I was able to test in Safari and it really looks awesome, however it doesn't seem to work on Firefox. Any plans on supporting it? :)
This looks really nice, reminds me of Muzei[1] on Android which also allowed to add effects on the image that was being displayed. Definitely keeping ArtDiario running! Just a little thing: consider making the icon for the menu bar smaller, it's way to big compared to the usual size of the icons on macOS and it makes it look off [2].

To offer a counterpoint I think it’s totally fine :) “reticulating splines” is one of the loading text that The Sims uses, for example, and I can’t find a less “niche” product than that using it.
Maybe just making the “…” dance to indicate that it’s loading would remove any doubt that the page is doing something for those users that might not understand it. I personally love apps that have some charisma!
This is one of the reasons why I love F#, baked in support for units of measures. So instead of having to rename the function to include the unit I can just declare it to take the type `int<second>` and the compiler will complain if you try to pass an `int` or an `int<minute>` unless you declare an explicit conversion between the units.
I've been using it for around a year now and honestly I haven't noticed any big difference with Safari in my MBA M1. Would definitely recommend to give it another try!
Just tried it and my oh my, the design is amazing and it really makes the whole experience much better. I really love both the idea and the execution and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. Amazing job! :)
