I started experiencing massive overheating issue on latest version of Zoom and on macOS 26 and now 26.1 beta as well. Haven't experienced what you're describing, it's really odd.
I typically use the time to write - my thoughts, ideas and notes of all sorts - which are directly or indirectly relevant to whatever it is I'm working on at the time. That's how I find problems worth solving. There are opportunities hiding in everything we do every day. All it takes is a portion of our time dedicated to thinking and synthesis of information from various sources.
It's essentially a back-end only content management system that makes content accessible via a RESTful API.
According to wikipedia, the term "headless" comes from the concept of chopping the "head" (the front-end, i.e. the website) off the "body" (the back-end, i.e. the content repository).

As a side note, there's so much we can learn from game programmers and OS/database/compiler engineers.
How To Design Programs pursues a similar goal. Esp. 2nd edition has largely been rewritten and uses a more modern programming language. Maybe give it a try?
