KDE has far too much surface area to test and support (as in end user support) effectively. Gnome may not be as flexible but it makes for a much smaller target to be able to reproduce and triage issues.
If people want KDE they can install it. Making it the default is short sighted and doesn't align with, or help further, the goals of the Fedora project.

With more advanced use cases I find the LLMs better at exploring a problem space and possible solutions rather than providing a solution full stop. Being able to refine a problem down into a digestible chunk the AI can take a bite of does require human level understanding that's hard to get if you haven't 'done the work' to have good fundamentals.
Add onto that the fact the 8th and 10th gen Intel low power mobile parts are, well, kinda garbage (low perf/watt, very little boost time, low core count) and were quickly obsoleted.

It's been a nightmare for my org. We have several people with T-Mobile and Verizon home internet and it's always a game of "What shenanigans will I have to use this week to get VPNs to work?" Sometimes it seems like their 6to4 implementation is just broken but I'm not a network engineer.
The 5400s and 5410s had tons of issues with power, heat, and general acpi funkiness but the 5420s and 5430s have been rock solid for my org. I really want an AMD 14" Latitude but I don't think that's happening any time soon.
Your best option is to dump the displaylink dock and go to a dp alt mode dock or tb3/usb4 dock if your device has a compatible port.
Dell WD19S or Cable Matters USB C docks (201055, 201056) have been flawless for my org all with Fedora laptops. For thunderbolt Caldigit has some decent options but you are still looking at $200-300 for anything decent.

This is engineering/technical communities in general. You get a lot of strong opinions and individuals who cannot take criticism. A few, often very loud, people make a ton of noise and take up the time of the individuals actually contributing real substance to the project.

Really suggest not doing this with -6 sph or stronger. The higher your prescription the greater the risk of halos and starbursts.
I was at -9 and -8.25 (OS OD) with slight astigmatism (0.25 cyl) and still have halos 8 years later. Mind you this was at the absolute edge of what the machine at the facility I worked at could do. I no longer work for that company and I understood the risks going into the procedure with my prescription.
I did require glasses after 2 years too and due to the aspherical nature of my, now ablated, cornea any spherical abberation is perceived as astigmatism. I have to over correct a quarter diopter in sph to reduce the halos and starbursts at the expense of a bit of fish eye lensing.
Would I do it again? Probably but I would definitely try glasses sooner to help with the haloing even if I tested at 20/20.
Juuls use a silica wick which, while possible to absorb something as thick as Vit A the vaporization process would happen too quickly for the pod to perform properly. My partner has it to the point where her dreams aren't even visual. I am on the other end of the spectrum. It's hard to describe but concepts are 'seen' and then monologued not the other way around. It's not synesthesia but a kind of mental mapping my brain does.
Interesting side effect is that I have an extremely poor visual memory for places, faces, etc. It all gets jumbled up with the other representations in my brain. At least that's what it feels like.
It seems to be a wiring thing rather than a learned skill. I can't ever think of a time where I didn't have this mode of thought.
Three journals/sets of docs:
Active - Currently doing/note taking on current task. The idea is not to recall later but for the task at hand. This is physical.
Reflective - After completing a task take the active notes and refine and update them for someone other than you. This is a git repo my team has access to.
Aspirational - Ideas, concepts, all that jazz. For me this is lots of mechanical drawings etc that I want to CAD up, interesting phenomena that could be reproduced with code, far fetched ideas to solve the world's problems, nothing is off limits. This is a physical notebook and the one thing I'd grab if my house was on fire.

Actionscript was the catalyst for me going from script kiddie to SWE. I made a decent living from 17-20 doing medical show kiosks and complex Flash sites for said medical providers. By the end of it I had a nice little data loading and UI component library akin to what you would see in Qt or GTK.
