My old man opinion is that there is no point discussing with people who are using emoji because they are inadequately able to express themselves using words. I have found they are also likely to take offense and act irrationally when words are the forced medium.

IRC might be 'mostly' dead to you if that's your definition, but it is not 'remotely' dead to me and many others around the world.

I use it every day, and I use it for work, admittedly its not freenode but an internal server. I find IRC great for not having the focus of the general masses because of how disappointing the general masses really are.

But CVSS is an industry-wide joke.

Tell me more how a factual explanation of a software's exploitation techniques is a joke. I think you're drinking the repetitive koolaid that is frequently passed around on boards like this.

I read the same article then realised that the author didn't understand the full capabilities of OTP and maybe had a bit of survivorship bias from kubernetes hostage experience.

You use a tool like cat, vim , emacs, or tail to see logs. You can't physically read the file off the disk, how is this different than using journalctl ?

# journalctl -u ssh

Show me something that you learn in your career as X that isn't taught in school" and have the TikToker's quote and reply to the video.

a few second of a video can tell much more than 2 pages of written CV.

These are -different- things though, one is an interview the other is a CV.

You're confusing the problem here.

Sometimes coping with issues is just learning to ignore them, you must learn that even though you feel hurt there it is not worth putting energy into dealing with what people say and do.

People forget that 50% of the people on the planet are below average, its best to remember that when you're dealing with life. You can't expect these people to have reasoning and logic skills, emotional resilience or even base levels of compassion.

"Toughen up princess" can frequently be the best advice you can give someone.

I use this callback to capture the 'data' that caused the crash, so that it can be used to recover later or better understand why the crash happened.

If I have as significantly long transaction, I can restart the transaction from transaction_id + 1 forward and then handle the actual transaction out of band by hand if its something very odd.

I usually insert a logger in these code paths too, but the crash handler is usually after the logger, which makes it easier to reason what has happened if you are dealing with mutable state.

I'm slightly confused, if the owner can't afford to deal with the costs, they obviously dont have the financial ability to penalize the individual NOT to abandon ship.

That level of cognitive disconnect surely can't be held up as valid in any legal system that has greater cognitive ability to do 'connect the dots drawings'.
