This is pretty cool. One thing that had me confused was the legend at the bottom of the search result, eg: US - U. The colour of the circle is different for each one. Is it random, or does the colour signify something?

And like Krish mentioned, it would be good to have the examples you mentioned in your reply shown in light gray as a hint text in the search box. It can clear when the user clicks on the box or starts typing.

The only way to master something is to use it again and again over a long period of time.

But if you are asking about getting started with a new language, then it will vary from person to person based on your mode of learning - some learn by reading, some by writing, some by coding, some by reflecting, and some learn by teaching. You need to figure out what your preferred mode of learning is and do that.

I learn by copying some other code. I'll find a small tutorial and follow along typing the code line by line. I dont copy-past, I actually type it out. I don't necessarily think about what I am typing, just following along. If its in a book, I'll type out some of the examples. After its working, then I'll find a different tutorial and type it out again. Usually after a few programs like this, I start to get the hang of the basics.

There are various applications that do this by installing the PDF converter as a Printer in Windows. Eg, CutePDF is a free software that allows this. It is useful to print to PDF from private URLS, eg: payment confirmation receipts and so on.

Having said that, dont let it stop you because your site might be useful for the layperson who doesnt understand all this stuff about installing something as a fake printer and then printing through that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Agreed on the logo, its a stop-gap logo for now. We are in the process of getting it professionally done.

Regards the pricing model, the reason we limit on tour runs is because most SaaS products need a bunch of tours. Maybe one for getting started, another couple for common tasks and so on. Even a tiny app in private beta might need 5-10 tours.

With tour runs, the intention is to segment on traffic: products in private beta or low traffic apps might be on the basic plan. Products that have some more sign ups and some early revenue might fit on the next plan, while higher traffic sites and some steady revenue might fit the third plan.

I like the article that you linked to, but I'm not sure why you think this is an infomercial. I'm just saying that UX doesnt solve all problems, and onboarding is an important part of any product.

Hmm, thanks for the heads up. Not sure what happened there. I'm on the latest FF too. Was this when you went to the article page?
