+1. This is a very good and well-rounded response.

I might add that for tech engineering of any type, getting a BS in Computer Science (from a reputable school) is insanely helpful in the long run if there is an interest in going further in your career and it does not lock a person into one particular track.

Chiastic Structure 5 years ago

The Hebrew use of chiasms is what first convinced me that a lot of hyperliteralist interpretations of the Torah were just ignorant.

A person cannot intentionally convert a story into a poetic structure without also distorting its literalness.

And the contemporary readers of the time would have known this as well.

Some useful insights for sure.

Although some programmers care about both product and code and know how to balance it: based on the budget.

Code-first programmers might have not had to face a deadline and a company running out of money. Not all of them are like this, but if you find yourself in this camp, I encourage joining a startup with some eyeballs into the finances as a way to balance that tendency to infinitely nitpick over small code details.

I swear the more progressive San Francisco becomes the worse and worse every aspect of life becomes in that city.

I have been doing frontend dev for nearly 20 years and CSS in JS has always struck me as completely unnecessary. I have yet to see a need for any of it that doesn't introduce more problems than it solves. Do you have any examples of cases where it is needed? Im using SCSS with SSR super well. I dont get why JSS in CSS is seen as superior?

When will the general public learn that adding more rules and education simply gives ill-intentioned people more complicated ways to screw others over.

This is another one of those articles where the author is condescendingly trying to fearmonger to a segment of the US population. It is so obvious.

Lets be fair. If NYT supported Hitler, should we cancel the NYT for supporting systemic racism in the past?

Im so exhausted of these condescending and self-righteous articles.

Exactly.

Although to be fair, I dont think Twitter has figured out that it is now becoming “cool” and free advertising to be blocked by them.

It is turning into a form of rebellion and “fighting against the man”. It is a badge of honor for a large segment of society right now.

Basically, being banned by Twitter is becoming free advertising.

I mean, look a this post by OP.

Incredibly well put. I do truly wish that education taught debate these days.

One of the things required in debate classes is to argue for the other sides position.

I have found that most people I meet these days have never learned this ability to see things with the shoes on the other feet.
